About Course Instructor Holly Bellebuono
"As the daughter of a registered surgical nurse and a pharmacist, I grew up appreciating chemistry, anatomy and physiology—especially at the dinner table as my parents shared stories of their daily pharmacy and nursing work (as we ate our spaghetti and sauce). The surgeries, the medications and the stories of my mother’s intense nursing training in the 1960s – where she endured everything from mental hospital wards to gang fights.
Out of this, I became a medical herbalist, intent on using natural methods to support health. With my extended family made up of counselors, therapists, and nurses, I developed a keen awareness of the challenges of (and need for) blending allopathic and holistic therapies.
I now use my 30 years in herbalism to support integrative clinicians and practitioners as they broaden their practice to include herbal medicine, aromatherapy and natural forms of healing -- especially for brain and mental health."
