Herbal Retreat
Nova Scotia
August 12 - 16 2019

Journey to magical Nova Scotia, Canada, to join herbalists Holly Bellebuono and Tarah Gibbon for a welcoming week with herbs, gardens, and the beauty of Nova Scotia. Herbal crafting materials, supplies, and instruction will be included; pot-luck meals will be shared and rustic lodging and tenting are available.

We will harvest edible and medicinal plants, craft healing remedies, distill fragrant hydrosols, indulge in making and tasting medicinal honeys and oxymels, sample a wide variety of teas, learn the basics of herbal apothecary and formulary, and sight-see to local breweries and wineries, local farms, gardens, herbal product makers, and lavender farms. We will be lovingly sheltered in a home where we can relax and enjoy a quiet pace while planning for our futures (retreat includes an Entrepreneur Workshop). Individuals and couples welcome. This is a great experience to share with your partner, or for mothers and daughters, or with a sister or good friend.

Your Hostesses

Herbalists Holly Bellebuono and Tarah Gibbon met when Tarah was a student of Holly's in the 2-Week Herbal Immersion in 2017, and discovered they are herbal sisters in every sense. Holly can't say what Tarah is drawn to, but Holly is a devotee of Tarah's incredible cooking, her imaginative genius with plants, and her soulful Earth Mother personality.
Living on 5 acres in beautiful Hants Co., Nova Scotia,  Certified Community Herbalist Tarah Gibbon has transformed the land from pristinely kept gardens to a wild herb sanctuary with sweeping paths and hidden spaces.  Owner of Dig it! Naturals, Tarah creates wild-crafted herbal body care products with healing and health promoting properties, from wild harvested herbs. Tarah's herbal passion is grounded in sharing her knowledge and experiences to empower others while also creating inclusive community connections.

An herbalist of 25 years, Holly teaches internationally at conferences and universities, instructing in herbal medicine, women's empowerment, and visionary thinking. She is the author of six books and an audio CD collection, is under contract for her seventh book, and has published articles in a variety of international magazines and journals including Parabola, Juno, Mother Earth Living, and Sage Woman. Holly directs The Bellebuono School of Herbal Medicine, leading workshops, retreats, and online and on-site training and certification courses.

Holly and Tarah look forward to welcoming you to an incredibly healing, relaxing, and rejuvenating retreat this summer!
