Want to dig deeper into learning about plants? Want to master the basics of herbal medicine making, hand-crafting, and apothecary remedies? This enjoyable 4-day class is filled with walks, strolls, gardening, harvesting, herbal preparation and hand-crafting of many of western traditional herbal medicines that are perfect for home- and community- use.
Held on the beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard, this class will teach you about dozens of edible and medicinal plants and enable you to identify, harvest, and use them for a variety of health needs. You'll gain confidence in identifying plants (which is a valuable tool for health care professionals who want to incorporate herbs into their practice) and you'll learn how to make quick, helpful, healing remedies such as teas, infusions, decoctions, beeswax salves, oils, syrups, and tinctures, as well as body care products such as powders, creams, and salts.
Fun, relaxed, and full of useful information, this 4-Day Apothecary Workshop is for beginner herbalists and also forms the introductory first four days of the 2-Week Herbal Intensive for intermediate and advanced practitioners and professionals new to herbal medicine and botanical therapy.
