Join herbalist Holly Bellebuono for a wonderfully inventive and creative Apothecary Weekend, where you will learn hands-on methods for crafting herbal remedies, harvest and taste edible and medicinal plants, gather and blend delicious medicines, sample teas and honeys, and take home your finished products.
This weekend includes herbal identification, basic introduction to herbal medicine philosophies and practice, and building a welcoming community for anyone interesting in learning more about plants. Past students have included gardeners as well as those with no history of plant knowledge--in fact, this beginner course is a great introduction to a world you may be unfamiliar with. It's also a strong basis for those interested in learning more (it is included as part of the 2-Week Herbal Immersion for intermediate/advanced students).
"[This] is a rich, hands-on program that draws its value from the presence and strength of it’s teacher, Holly Bellebuono. Holly is a gem of a teacher," says M.M., former student and 2018 Apothecary Weekend participant.
"I particularly loved the warm, friendly, kind environment, the laughter, the open-mindedness, the love and support, the cooperative spirit, the exchanges between all of us, about herbs…and about life. As a result of it all, the learning was so rich!" says MG, 2018 Apothecary student.
Join us in this fun, welcoming, and surprisingly informative experience that will prepare you to craft and create medicines for yourself, your family, and your community.
